During the walking tour in Florence, we spent a decent amount of time at the Duomo. It was absolutely incredible. We were told that when it was first built, people would cry because of how beautiful it is. I can definitely see how the Duomo could bring people to tears. The entire outside of the Duomo is made out of three different types of marble. I was unable to go inside because I didn't bring a sweater and my knees were exposed. Although, I have been told that the inside does not compare to the outside. Maybe I can go back there when it isn't 90 degrees outside with 90% humidity and see the inside.
