Views in Cinque Terre

During the eleven hour bus ride from Florence to Nice, we took a detour and stopped in Cinque Terre, Italy.  This little seaside village is only accessible by train and has no cars or roads.
It was absolutely stunning.

Aléatoire à Nice et Monaco

Nice was one of my favorite stops on the European tour.  The city was so calm, laid-back and beautiful.  I am sure that part of my preference was based around the complete freedom that we had in the city: no walking tours, no group activities, just me and the three coolest girls on the tour.  I had tried crêpes in the States and was not impressed but I knew that I had to try them while I was in France.  We found a little restaurant that had a special: one savory crêpe, one sweet crêpe, a glass of wine and a coffee after the meal for 11 euros.  C'est incroyable!! We ate there twice because it was so good.  I still find myself thinking about those crêpes and wishing that I could lay on that uncomfortable yet beautiful pebble beach.  Another exciting thing about Nice was that I went into the Mediterranean and I never go into the water when I am at the beach.  Once I was in the warm water, I never wanted to leave.  However, we had to leave so that we could go parasailing, which was an entirely different experience: fun, scary, and kind of painful.
